Lloyd Back – Old Boots

‘Old Boots’ is the first single from Lloyd’s soon-to-be-released album ‘Strong Love’.
Written by Lloyd, it’s a catchy song about the value of relationships and an expression of gratitude for the special and deep friendships he has. As the song says ‘True friends are worth more than gold, and I’ve been blessed with more than a few’.
‘Strong Love’ is Lloyd’s sixth recording, all produced by Lindsay Waddington and the Kross Kut Records label, and follows hot on the heels of the very successful, award winning ‘Everyone Has a Story’ album. It was a huge honour for Lloyd to learn the album was awarded a 2020 Traditional Country Music Awards of Australia Album of the Year award at the Tamworth Country Music Festival. At TCMF Lloyd was also very honoured to receive a 2019 Gold Medallion Media Award for Male Vocalist of the Year and National Male Artist of the Year.
In 2018 Lloyd travelled to Le Mars, Iowa, to perform at the National Traditional Country Music Festival. It was there that the album “Travelling With You” was recognised by America’s National Traditional Country Music Association with the Rural Roots Commission “Real Country CD of the Year” award, and with Lloyd being inducted into the Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame, which he regarded as a huge honour.
