Justin Landers – I Can’t Drink You Off My Mind

Written by Justin Landers and Recorded & Produced by Simon Johnson at Hillbilly Hut Records, ‘I Can’t Drink You Off My Mind’ is a catchy, upbeat, Honky-Tonk style country song about a stubborn man who unsuccessfully tries to drown the sorrow of losing his partner over an argument.
“I got the inspiration for this song while performing a live show at a pub one night” Justin recalled. “There was a guy who was blind, rotten, drunk who was annoying the bar staff over being refused service because he had too much to drink. During a break, I thought I might distract him for a moment. so, I asked him how he was going. He proceeded to tell me the story of his breakup with his long-time girlfriend and that he was out drinking to try and forget her. I always wanted to write a drinking song and, at that moment, I knew I had the hook to write one”. Justin said.
