Lindsay Waddington – Kakadu

“Kakadu” is the stunning new instrumental from one of Australia’s most respected and celebrated musicians, Lindsay Waddington.

Having first experienced the magic of Kakadu at the tender age of 14 with the legendary Brian Young, “Kakadu”, is inspired by the years touring and playing in remote Australia.

“The beauty that this country has, is rivalled by none other that I have seen in my many tours and travels overseas”, says Waddo.

“I spent five years touring with Brian Young, touring 10-11 months of the year, playing 6 or 7 nights a week. The tours spent 90% of the time in Outback Australia, mostly performing in Aboriginal missions and communities”, he says.

“While writing Kakadu, I channelled the raw energy and earthy tones to take you on a journey to one of the most mesmerising places I have ever experienced, Kakadu”.

Lindsay Waddington is a successful artist, musician, producer, songwriter and owner of Kross Kut Records recording studio on the Gold Coast.

He started his career as a drummer, before transitioning to become a multi-instrumentalist. Waddo is a Golden Guitar Award nominee, winner of numerous Stan Coster Memorial Awards among many others and is also one half of the successful Lynchburg with Allan Caswell.
