Ben Walker – Be Different

“My great mistake, the fault for which I can’t forgive myself, is that one day I ceased my obstinate pursuit of my own individuality.” Oscar Wilde

Drinking wine from plastic cups, with a small tent for shade, Ben Walker and Allan Caswell sat at Narrabeen Lake talking about the joy of people’s differences, how ADHD and Autism can bring light to shade and brilliance to the ordinary, and Ben’s hopes for his own children.

What followed that eclectic conversation was “Be Different” – a conversation between Ben and his two son’s about plotting your own path, having courage in your convictions, and perhaps not always listening to your elders!

“Be Different” is the third song released this year from the “Tracking Dog” sessions with producer Rod Motbey. The ballad marks more new territory for Ben with a fresh contemporary sound complemented by Motbey’s production skills, exquisite organ playing from Lee Turner and the always exemplary backing vocals of Glenn Cunningham.

Songwriters: Ben Walker & Allan Caswell
Vocals: Ben Walker; Organ: Lee Turner; All other instrumentation: Rod Motbey
Backing Vocals: Glenn Cunningham
Produced and Mixed – Rod Motbey, Tracking Dog Studios
Mastered: Jeff McCormak
