Sadie Wech – You & I

Sadie Wech was inspired to write ‘You and I” after being engaged to sing at a wedding. Always having a hopeless romantic heart, Sadie I wanted to surprise them with a song. “I love how sometimes you can’t express the emotions you feel and can’t seem to put it into words, but somehow in song form it is able to be expressed.”

“You and I” is all about feeling at home with your person. It shares the journey of two people in love, and how their love changes, grows and evolves over time. But no matter what happens, how much time has passed, wherever you are, your person is your home. Your person is all you need.

Southland based singer songwriter Sadie Wech proudly pocketed the coveted 2024 MLT NZ

Gold Guitar Awards Solo Female Artist Award for this song! “Music and singing has been a huge part of my life growing up. My dad’s side of the family is quite musical, with my Granny being trained classically as an opera singer and being trained by the same lady who coached Kiri Te Kanawa.”
