Coopers Song – On the This Little Town EP by Phoebe Hutchison

My friend’s beautiful healthy boy, Cooper Trewin, died at 16 months. He simply didn’t wake up. They said it was SUDC. His parents, Kylie and Rob wanted answers. They spent the last 14 years fundraising, having started SUDC.com.au The Cooper Trewin Memorial Foundation.

Then Brighter Days (a huge festival in Bright, Victoria, where thousands attend) got on board. Every year, they give 1/3 of profits to the SUDC. So far, over 1.7 million has been raised by SUDC. Most of this has gone to Boston Children’s Research Hospital, USA, for research.

I wrote Cooper’s Song shortly after Cooper passed away as a song of grief for my beautiful friend, Kylie. As we spent many hours together crying, I wrote this  song to capture her feelings of loss.
