PS EMMYLOU – Peggy Gilchrist with Pixie Jenkins & Lindsay Butler

Peggy asked her best mate, Shaza Leigh – Australia’s First Lady of Song, to write her new instrumental, with a loping upbeat to bring a positive vibe to the world. The result was this song, conjuring images of the flowing movement of a river. Peggy chose ‘PS Emmylou’ for the title to celebrate the beautiful paddle steamers of the Murray River.

As this brilliant musical score developed in the recording studio it became obvious it would benefit from the magic touch of Australia’s legendary, Golden Guitar winning, musicians, ‘Fiddler Extraordinaire’ Pixie Jenkins and ‘The Master Of Country Guitar’ Lindsay Butler OAM, to compliment ‘Australia’s Queen of the Country Piano’, Peggy Gilchrist. The combination is magnificent.
