Chantell Alexi – Crawl

I wrote the lyrics to ‘Crawl’ back in 2012 after cutting ties with a music partner I had been working with.

After realising the ulterior motives of this very manipulative music partner, I made the decision to call it quits as no one needs to put up with negativity in their lives or allow another human being to try to control them.
In response to my decision this unnamed music partner proceeded to tell everyone that we knew mutually that I was nothing without him and that sooner or later I would come ‘crawling’ back.

So having heard that remark I came up with the idea for ‘Crawl’, which was my cheeky yet subtle way of saying “you’re the one who should crawl, as I am much better off without you”.
