Lindsay Waddington – He Liked Horses More Than People
He Liked Horses More Than People is the latest release from multi award winning instrumentalist, Lindsay (Waddo) Waddington. Waddo is not known as a vocalist but has always had a high regard for Australian bush ballads. After a conversation with Allan Caswell, at one of their songwriting sessions, about Waddo’s grandad and bushmen of his like, this song was brought to life.
“It was a no brainer for Waddo to sing this … it’s part of his life. Waddo is seriously underrated as a singer … mostly by himself … he really nailed this one”
Despite the recent success of Lynchburg, Waddo and Caswell are determined to keep writing and recording bush ballads and other classic country music that doesn’t fit the Lynchburg style but still has a great story to tell. The phrase “more Bundaberg than Lynchburg” gets heard around Kross Kut Studios a lot these days.
Sharon Heaslip’s It’s Always The Son That Gets The Farm and Caswell’s Don’t Shed A Tear For Me have already hit the charts from Kross Kut this year … now its Waddo’s turn.
