Lynchburg – I Love This Rodeo

Well, here it is. The highly anticipated first single and title track of Lynchburg’s soon to be released second album I Love This Rodeo.

“As usual, when I got to the studio, Waddo already had a melody going and I loved it. Often, I steal Waddo’s instrumentals and write lyrics all over them but with I Love This Rodeo we both had a clear idea of what we wanted the song to be … It’s probably our favourite song on the whole the album”

I Love This Rodeo was a track that Waddo and Cas built with Waddo playing all the instruments and Cas contributing the vocals and harmonies. They then pulled in 3 of their favourite players Michel Rose (pedal steel) Hugh Curtis (fiddle) and Glenn Thomas (piano) to put some very special icing on the cake.

After the success of the debut album How Country Do You Want It? with several hit singles and a couple of Number Ones, Lynchburg were determined to dive deeper into classic country music.

I Love This Rodeo was the first song written for the album and the song that drove the direction of it. I Love This Rodeo (the album) will be out very soon … but in the meantime have a listen to the title track.
