Terry Bennetts – Rabbit Flat Polka
Rabbit Flat Polka is my third single and the first instrumental of my latest Album ‘The Dinner Tree’.
Terry originally wrote this tune for his mate Alisha Smith the Guitarist from Queensland who recorded it in 2014 and won Best Bush Ballad Instrumental in 2015 at the Stan Coster Memorial Bush Ballad Awards in Bungendore.
Terry recorded his own version of the tune on his 2022 ‘The Dinner Tree’ Album and also had success in Tamworth 2023 winning ‘National Composer of the Year’ at the C.C.M.A. Awards.
Terry played the tune on his Gretsch Chet Atkins electric guitar and would like to thank the following musicians who helped bring the track to life. Lucky Oceans – Pedal Steel, Peter Denahy – Fiddle, Mark Donohoe – Bass and Brother John Bennetts (Ex Eurogliders) – Drums.
