Charlie’s Attic – Sleepy Old Town

“Sleepy Old Town” is the new single by Country duo Charlie’s Attic.

The follow up to their 2023 release “Mumma”, “Sleepy Old Town” is a song about Australia’s bush capital, Canberra. According to Cheree, “I get disappointed when Canberra is described as sterile and soulless, when in reality it’s a beautiful big country town, full of beauty, you just have to know where to look!” As we approach the festive season, nothing says it better though than the line in the song ‘it’s all about family and people, this place that I call my home’.

Featuring Luke Moller on the fiddle, “Sleepy Old Town” is an infectious country rock song and a perfect addition to any country playlist!
Releasing their debut album “Always Near” in 2017, Charlie’s Attic received recognition from the Tamworth Songwriters’ Association (TSA) reaching the semi-finals of the 2021 TSA Songwriters’ Awards in the Country Ballad Category for their song “Never Too Old”, and in the New Songwriter Category for “Nanna’s House”. They followed this up in 2022 / 2023 with their singles “Misery Loves Company” and “Mumma” which both charted strongly on the national country music radio airplay charts.
