Award winning bush balladeer Ashley Cook returns with his first single of the year, “The Aussie Way”, A powerful and heartfelt tribute to the spirit of mateship that denies rural Australia.

“The Aussie Way” is a story steeped deep in emotion, shining a light on the values of community, compassion, and solidarity during times of hardship.

The ballad tells the tale of Arty, a struggling farmer facing the grim reality of drought and looming foreclosure as the bank threatens to auction off his property. Yet, in true Aussie spirit, Arty’s neighbours come together in his darkest hour, rallying around to help save his family’s farm.

The song beautifully captures the essence of mates saving mates – That’s the Aussie way.
