Ben Walker – I Won’t Let Go

After a fun, but brief, foray into the world of “Country Jazz”, Singer Songwriter Ben Walker reaches once more into the recording sessions from his superb debut album “A Place I Like To Go To” to deliver a special country folk song: “I Won’t Let Go”.

Expertly penned with Country music royalty Kevin Bennett the song is about, as Ben Says “holding on to the things that matter most in life”. When asked to expand, Ben smiles, “I was at a songwriter’s retreat, the first one I could go to post COVID and the first time I had travelled without the family for a very long time. I was missing them terribly – a definite low point – but Kevin encouraged me to lean in to that emotion, to turn it into a positive song, written with feeling. We got a beautiful result.”.
