Billy Pitt – Give That Girl a Beer

Give that girl a beer was written while having a beer with a mate in a pub. My mate noticed an attractive woman coming into the pub and standing at the bar ….. we were  admiring her looks.

Long story short, my mate met her at the bar while buying our drinks and struck up a conversation with her. When he came back, he was telling me about her recent relationship and how she had just broken up. She then came and joined us and then I heard the full story.

I thought “Jesus, how can this bloke split from this beautiful lady”.

Well, she had finished her drink, as did we, and I started to walk to the bar to get another. I turned around to ask her would she like another wine and at that moment, my mate said “Hey Billy. After everything she has been through today stuff the wine….GIVE THAT GIRL A BEER

A lightbulb went off in my head and I thought that would be a great song…

Aboriginal artist Billy Pitt hails from the country roots of Top Camp in New South Wales Australia.
