Cathy Dobson – Learn to swim

Summer-seems a good time to release “Learn to swim”- the 3rd song from my EP “A farmer’s lullaby”. My father once said, “if you’re going to be a good liar, you have to have a good memory”. My song is about cheating and lying, and how once you have lied, you often have to keep on lying to cover the last lie, and the lies build up like “sandbags to keep the truth in”.
It’s about having the courage to stand up, or learning to swim, after a bad relationship. It was a finalist (Top 5) in the TSA song comp, and is shortlisted in the ASA song comp.
I love the bluesy feel Lachlan Bryan and Damian Cafarella have created for this song.
