Aly Cook – Prize Ribbons
The 4th single from Aly Cook’s ARIA and NZ official charting album ‘Caught in the Middle’. As Aly makes her way across the Tasman, for the first time in 14 months.
Cook said “To me this is a very personal story of a back injury that stopped her riding. After years of breeding and training horses, including breeding and selling a show jumper to the King of Bahrain in 2009. To stop riding was a big thing. I know the life of dedication to horses. I took the song to Allan Caswell, we worked on it one lovely afternoon in the Blue Mountains. Allan introduced Henry into the picture who passes away in the song, so a story of love, life and horses.
A beautiful, but simple country story song with lovely acoustic guitar accompaniment by Dean Ray with Backing Vocals by Buzz & Kay Bidstrup & Aly Mixed and Produced by Graham ‘Buzz’ Bidstrup (GANGgajang) with ARIA Award Winning Producer/ Engineer Dave Nicholas and at Asquith Studios Sydney’. The single is accompanied music video filmed by Amy Shields and edited by Sweetas Media in New Zealand
