Clayton Saunders – The Tender Years
I wrote this song for my daughters and for all parents who see their kids grow all too soon from their beautiful little babies into adults.
This story tells about a father who is missing his adult daughter who he doesn’t see as much as he would like. He reflects on her growing years and how she changed from a little girl into a woman and now has a child of her own.
A parent will always see their children as their little babies. After all it’s a parents right to miss their kids and long for the days they cradled them in their arms, still young and innocent.
So whether you are a parent or a child, tell your family you love them as often as you can because time flies and tomorrow belongs to no one.
