Cathy Dobson – Dry River Bed
“Dry River Bed” was inspired by sights from a bus trip on the way back home from Tamworth-strips of shredded plastic fluttering on wire fences and the many dry river beds we passed-there was a certain loneliness and hopelessness- like a one sided love affair.
A quick thought crossed my mind about trying to skip stones down these river beds, and so the song began.
The song was recorded with Brian Baker, who was also co-writer on the song. Brian also did backing vocals and played all instruments.
Artwork by Tracey Roberts, using a photograph by Matt Palmer taken in the Hartz Mountains.
Available on Spotify, iTunes and the usual digital outlets.
