Lynchburg – Guilty As Charged
In keeping with Lynchburg’s passion for exploring all things classic country, the latest single is Lynchburg’s eccentric take on the traditional
bluegrass murder ballad styled Guilty As Charged.
When I arrived at the studio Waddo said, “I’ve written this great bluegrass instrumental” I heard it and said “No you didn’t … you wrote half a great bluegrass song” … and started writing lyrics.
“Cas wrote an entire movie in three minutes, not counting solos”
As well as Cas and Waddo, Guilty As Charged also features stellar playing from Pixie Jenkins and Brendon Radford. Kross Kut have a policy of only recording live in the studio and only using the best Australian musicians.
Guilty As Charged is the fifth single off the How Country Do You Want It? album with the first four charting and two going to number 1, as well as Waddo taking the Caswell/Waddington bush ballad He Liked Horses More Than People to Number 1 by himself … the boys are on a roll.
As well as all that, the new Anita Spring is a duet with Caswell, a Caswell/Spring/Waddington song, produced by Waddo.
With the pressure bluegrass has been under lately, Lynchburg are proud to release Guilty As Charged because “Bluegrass will always be an important part of what we do”
