Heywood & Moore – Tumbleweed

Country music is supposed to be all about “three chords and the truth” and Dawn’s song Tumbleweed is just that, a deeply personal confession. It explores the reluctance that we have to let go of a long-term relationship. Specifically, a relationship into which we have invested our soul, energy, drive, spirit and life and the heart-breaking acceptance that it has evolved into a prison, becoming a bed of lies with no apparent escape.

Ultimately, Tumbleweed is a record of the despair of living in a relationship without hope whilst maintaining the pipe dream that somehow it can be saved.
