Clayton Saunders – Merry Christmas

This is my first attempt at writing a Christmas song.

I wanted a Christmas song that was different from all the other holiday songs out there so I crafted a song that described the wonderful atmosphere and feeling of Christmas. About sharing the joy with others and celebrating with friends and family. In the bridge I give a shoutout to those overseas and I mean not just our armed forces but to our family, friends and the communities in other countries as well.

In my humble opinion the holiday season is about being inclusive and putting aside our differences and embracing one another as equals.

The spirit and magic of Christmas makes me feel joyful and gives me a feeling of hope that solidarity can be achieved if we truly want it.
