Ken Austin – Missing You

Missing you, a song about love and loss, was written in Jurien Bay a little town just north of Perth, after returning from a tour across to Tasmania.

I entered Missing You into the 2022 W.A.M. songwriter of the year competition where it was judged to be in the top 30 of 1300 entries.

I am proud to present “Missing You” as my 1st single release from my debut album, My Never Ending Road and I hope you enjoy the song.

About Ken Austin

I’m a West Australian singer, guitarist and songwriter who got into music early in life, as my father was a radio DJ during my childhood. I sang in bands at school functions and in the late 80’s I was in a couple of bands, playing covers around the pub circuit in Perth and some country venues.

More recently I have been concentrating on traveling regional Western Australia playing as a solo artist, touring north to Kununurra during the dry season, playing at caravan parks, stations, bars and breweries along the way. I was also a feature artist at the Nambung Country Music Muster in 2021 and 2022.

Whilst on tour, I began writing some songs and putting music together. In 2020 I recorded a demo cd and in 2021 I went in to the studio and recorded five of my original songs and five of my favourite covers, along with full band and production. I entered the first track from my album “My Never Ending Road” into the 2022 WAM song writer of the year competition and was judged in the top thirty, out of thirteen hundred entries in the Country music genre.
