WildSeed – Taking Bad with The Good
WildSeed originally made their brief but successful foray into the country music scene between 2005 and 2013, from which emerged two wonderful albums. A musical union that was a culmination of compositions penned by Alan Bruce and produced by Geoff Zenner. The intervening years have since seen a backlog of amazing tunes inscribed and recorded by the duo, with contributions from a “floating” stable of fine musicians and vocalists.
Alan and Geoff are proud to unveil their labour of love once again under the WildSeed banner.
Taking Bad with the Good was inspired by the story of a small roadhouse owner who lost everything due to the inevitable bypass of his small town by a major expressway. Despite his extraordinary strength and resolve, the decline and eventual collapse of his beloved livelihood gave rise to the heartbreaking mantra, ”I’m tired of taking bad with the good”.
Although the song serves as a fitting metaphor to any life-challenging setback, it’s also hoped that to the listener, evokes a vicarious glimpse into the trials of rural life.
