Don Allen – Hold Your Head High
This song was written back in around 1989 while I was on tour with Lee Conway, Chad Morgan, Allison Durbin and other well-known artists.
I had only recently moved to Australia from New Zealand and while touring in the bus and observing the countryside, I was penning lyrics for this song which came together quite easily. Once back home I decided to record it, however it turned into a heavy rock orientated tune which I decided at that stage to shelve.
Fast forward to 2023 and I decided to have another look at it and in doing so took it to Bignote Productions here on the Gold Coast. On hearing it, they were blown away and could really see merit in it and in their wisdom proceeded to take the song to a new level which they achieved with the greatest of ease.
Add to this – THE VIDEO – filmed and put together by a great friend – Michael Head and WAMMO – WE HAVE A PACKAGE…….
HENCE THIS LATEST VERSION WHICH WE BELIEVE TO BE A WINNER……………………
Don Allen is an award winning Country Music artist located in Queensland Australia. His passion is traditional country, with his latest albums having been recorded in the heart of Country music, Nashville TN.
This latest release “Hold Your Head High “is something completely different from Don’s usual style but judging from the hype it has already amassed, we are expecting big things from it.
Don is looking forward to another very busy and successful year doing what he does best – and that is taking his big country voice and unique style to the masses.
Before the end of this year Don hopes to have a brand new album released so keep your ears and eyes open, there is so much more to come from this man!
