Zac Anthony – Hometown Lights

***Debut Single***

Zac Anthony has always had a love of the bush ballad style of country music.
The stories that come in song and verse from the pioneers to the present-day artists.
Zac grew up around music his father installing his musical preferences. Sadly, Zac lost his father at a very young age and was raised by his grandmother and her husband in country music capital Tamworth.
It was during his up bringing that Zac heard regularly his pops music in the house and while being a keen traveller in pop’s “big rig”! Slim Dusty and his music had captured the attention of this “young dreamer”.
Zac then asked for an acoustic guitar so he could learn these new-found songs, that became the fuel to ignite his desire to learn and write in that same style “Australian traditional country”.

Zac got the opportunity to play the first song he had mastered aged 11 years, “Lights on the Hill“, on Good Morning Country, while the program was being broadcast live from Tamworth during the annual January festival.
That song “Lights on the Hill” was a representation of his love of the music style and of Slim Dusty and his up bringing riding with pop in his big rig.

The years rolled along, Zac continued to hone his music and having played at venues in Tamworth and surrounds as a guest he decided to enter the Bingara Country Music Festival talent quest.
He won. Part of the prize was the recording of a single with Tamworth music studio owner and producer Rob Breese.

Now it’s time for the debut release of “Hometown lights”.
A song sourced by producer Rob Breese to compliment both Zacs vocal ability and an all-important trucking story line which is in Zacs bones.
This release comes in time for a return performance at the Channel Country Music Muster in Thargomindah [QLD] July 15 & 16, where he has been booked for the main stage following a whirlwind visit the previous year appearing on the walk ups.
Zac Anthony is now a road train driver in the Northern Territory and is here for the journey.
