Emma Jene – Boy Meets A Girl

2020 Most Promising Rising Star Emma Jene releases the second single Boy Meets A Girl, lifted from her third studio album Erosion today, with an accompanying music video.

The satirical country pop track shows the flip side of a first date, riddled with unexpected advances. The track is produced by and co-written with CMAA Golden Guitar nominated producer Angus Gill at Hot Plate Studios in Sancrox NSW.

The music video was directed by Jay Seeney of Blacklist Productions in Gerringong NSW at the Perfect Break Cafe & Sundara Beach House. “Working with my fake date Jarrod was quite awkward at first until we started chatting about what we had in mind for the music clip. The date went alright but I wouldn’t say it was my cup of tea”, laughs Jene. “Jay had a lot of enthusiasm on set, he likes to explore different avenues to see where the film can take you.”

Boy Meets a Girl follows on from Erosion’s leading single Feels So Good, which spent 8 weeks at #1 and 28 weeks in total on the Country Songs Top 40 Australian Airplay Chart. The critically acclaimed Erosion reached #6 on the ARIA Australian Country Charts and #24 on the ARIA Top 40 Country Charts.
