Justin Standley and Virginia Coad – Camooweal

Multi-award-winning Australian country singer-songwriter, Justin Standley, has teamed up with Australian country royalty, and insanely talented, Virginia Coad (Runaway Dixie, The Coad Sisters, The Coad Family), to take a Slim Dusty classic, Camooweal, and turned it on its head! A dangerous move for the Bush Ballad purists, but one that definitely pays off.

It was during an impromptu performance at the Bungendore Muster that Virginia and Justin discovered that Camooweal works well as a duet: add to that a good beat and unleash these two yodellers, and you suddenly had a standing ovation and demands from the Bungendore audience to record this new interpretation of an Australian Bush Ballad classic. Matt Fell’s production on this track is superb!
(For interviews: Justin 0478 900 432 / Virginia 0408 832 015)
