Penned by Peter Coad (O.A.M.), the song is based around a photo of Noel Smith and Tom Kruse. The track is from Peter’s current album, ‘Full Circle’.
Noel Smith, a true Aussie battler who worked on stations and farmed around South Australia also played music over his lifetime, and Tom Kruse, a pioneering legend of outback mail delivery in SA.
Peter said, “Both Noel Smith and Tom Kruse both lived and worked in a time when determination, courage, and the knowledge of how to ‘make do’ were a must. Their stories of our past are a snapshot of real Australia.
I take my hat off to them and all the others like them.”
