Ainslie Allen – Done and Gone

‘Done and Gone’ is the quintessential ‘boy does girl bad’ country rock tune. Written by Ainslie Allen, Produced and Mixed by Ben Edwards, recorded at the Sitting Room, in Lyttelton, NZ. Ainslie says, ” I wanted to write a tune with elements of rock, to represent women who are not afraid to own their past, to tell it how it is, and who are willing to wait for what they truly deserve”.

Ainslie Allen has grown from strength to strength and paved her musical path from her beginnings. She won her way to the hearts of Kiwis as she was seen weekly across New Zealand television as a 16-year-old on Jason Gun’s ‘Young Entertainers’. Ainslie has astonished people with her spine tingling stunningly powerful voice, with everything from singing the South African National anthem at an All-Blacks match, learning it in Afrikaans, to major events like Christmas in the Park in NZ or the International Showcase at Australia’s Country music festival.

Ainslie Allen is arguably one of the greatest female voices to emerge from New Zealand, a truly unsung hero, she leaves no stone unturned with this new release, showing what she is made of as a songwriter, a voice and as a mature woman who has lived some life.
