Heading Towards The Sun is the latest release from Slim Gritty.
An Australian singer songwriter and musician, Slim in variable line-ups and personas is no stranger to gigs and festivals both home and abroad.

Slims debut album, ‘Movin’ On Down The Line’ drew inspiration from the Americana/ Rockabilly genre.  

With ‘Heading Towards The Sun’ as with his latest ‘Lil’ Bit Country’ EP (the song was lifted from) Slim tracks into a more Hillbilly/Roots Country vein. This quirky hard to pigeonhole number has loosely been coined as a Hillbilly Requiem.  
Though featuring traditional Banjo & Hillbilly vocal styling, this single with its unique musical pulse and poetic lyrical threads also has a modern day feel and appeal about it.

‘Heading Towards The Sun’ should keep both Roots Country music fans happy and also have a great crossover potential with Adult Contemporary and Alt Country listeners.
