Andy Penkow – 1993
For Andy Penkow, the single, “1993”, (co-written with Allan Caswell) is another personal glimpse into his life, taking us back to when he was growing up on the NSW South Coast.
“We had this old willow tree between our house and the neighbours’ house and I remember how all the kids in the neighbourhood would get together, climbing that tree and playing”, says Andy.
“Often we’d talk about what we wanted to be when we grew up. For me, it was always a musician. It got me thinking about the bands I played in as a kid and how we all had stars in our eyes but most of my friends have now gone down a different path than me”.
