Lily Grace – The Two Of Us Meet

I wrote this song with Chaise Flanders, a songwriter and good friend of mine, at home in Australia. I sat down on the morning of this co-write with an idea I had seen on a tik tok video earlier that day.

The video was of a daughter describing her parents’ relationship. It described that whenever her parents were fighting, they had this unwritten rule that they would put on their wedding song and dance to it – no matter how mad they were at each other.
I wanted to make that more relatable and appealing to people of my own age. So, we took a different angle to tell the same story.

The song is about falling for someone who is new to town and having doubts about them, especially not knowing their past.
